Steven Pomeroy Photographer I was born in Denver Colorado and raised in the Pacific Northwest. I spent my childhood outside in the rugged mountains and valleys of my homeland. My interest in photography and sharing my vision of the landscape was inspired from this experience. I graduated from San Francisco State University with a Fine Arts degree in Conceptual Design. As a result of my education, I began to experiment with the new mediums of video, sound, printmaking and interactive multimedia. I have come to envision a blending of the real and digital worlds in my work. I enjoy creating images of things around us that are often missed in our day-to-day lives. I have continued to push my personal aesthetic and the mixing of technologies. I aspire to capture the visual essence of a moment rather than the technical process that produces the results. Thank you for viewing my work! Steven Pomeroy spomeroy@gmail.com

“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open. You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. ... No artist is pleased. [There is] no satisfaction whatever at any time. There is only a queer divine dissatisfaction, a blessed unrest that keeps us marching and makes us more alive than the others”
